MEMORIAL WEEKEND!!!

Ephesians 3:14-15~ For this reason I bow my knees before the Father from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named.

Family was such a large part of this weekend! :-) It was great to be back home and see my parents, brother and sister-in-law, family, and friends!! :-) Joy and Grant, what a beautiful day the Lord made for your wedding day!! It was absolutely perfect in every way, and we are so thankful to be a part of your special day!! We love you and hope you have a great trip!! ;-) Here are a few of the pictures my wonderful LOML took on their special day!! :-)

I have exciting news.... My parents, who are beautiful people!!:-) gifted us a car this weekend, which no longer makes the BENGE's a one car family!!! ;-) Thanks mom and dad!! We love you so much!! ;-) This has been an answer to prayer, and what a blessing it will be once summer comes!! (which is in t-minus 4 days for me!! :-)

That's right only 4 days left of school!!:-) We had the privilege after church yesterday to visit LOML's grandparents at their campsite! They are so precious!! I just love talking to them. After that, we headed home, LOML went to pick up the Kirbster at the vet while I headed home. To my surprise a large tree branch has fallen in front of the shed and broke one of the clothesline wires. :-( Gotta love the joys of home ownership!! :-) Last night we tried to camp, but all of the spots were full at the campground, but I'm glad we didn't go because it rained like crazy last night on us on our way home the rain drops were so big they looked like hail. Today we packed up a cooler and went to Raccoon River. LOML fished and I read, and tried to tan, but my shoulders are looking a little red. :-(

Here is a picture of the little sand beach we were on today! Super fun and RELAXING before a crazy week of school! What a wonderful country we live in be the land of the free and the home of the brave. I like this video and it reminds me of... RUDY.. RUDY... RUDY!!!!

Thank to past, present, and future members of the U.S. ARMY/MARINES/NAVY/AIR FORCE.

Good night!!

Love,
The BENGE's

Psalm 118:24~ This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Have you ever had the "Case of the Mondays?" Today I had the opposite feelings toward Monday! Everything was, "Hey team this is our last Monday team meeting," "Happy last Monday to my students as they enter my classroom," Hope everyone has a great Monday," and last but not least the first thing out of my mouth this morning as I woke up was," Guess what LOML it's my LAST MONDAY I have to go to school!!!" Man, hello this calls for celebration!!! :-) I am t-minus 8 days until my summer vacation starts, it's so close I can smell it! I took down all of the posters in my classroom, and am starting to box up all of my books so I can move rooms next year. :-)

Tons of flowers are coming up, and LOML and I are crossing our fingers just one vegetable grows in our garden. :-)

I think that the woman who owned this home before just really had a love for gardening and it shows! :-) The rose bushes in the front of the house are beautiful as well. She may have aspired to be a botanist/horticulturist/agronomist all at the same time! I put up some fencing around the plants on the garage, and our sweet new patio set! :-) Tonight we took went to lowe's and took a walked around the pond, plus Kirbster's new pool.(which he thinks is his new water dish) :-)

LOML and I have a really crazy week, filled with work/class/preschool graduation/babysitting, and a wedding!!!! Gotta Love it!!!

I know I get a little caught up about the Kirbster sometimes, but he's our little baby and gets a little spoiled but seriously watch this video of him LOML made of me and my baby. I'm sorry but he's a pretty smart boy!! :-) He does 8 tricks with me in a minute and six seconds. Sorry I just have to brag a little:-)

What did everyone think of LOST last night??? It has been like season finale of all my shows. House, Grey's, Private Practice, and Brothers and Sisters are all over:-( Out of all 4 of my shows season finale's at least on person dies. Why do they do that seriously... I'm such a blubbering baby crying my eyes out.... HELLO Kellie Like it's real!! Let's be honest, that's why I LOVE them!!! At least I still can watch Army Wives! ;-)

RUTH~ It's the book of the bible we are going through on Sundays. Let's face it Ruth is the book of the bible that your AWANA leader gave you when it was down to the final 2 in a bible drill. You can't just thumb through and find it, I have to sing the song (mom you know what I'm talking about) and then stop when you find Judges. Ruth is 4 pages long, but what a great book!!! I'm leaving you tonight with a quote from Erich Fromm, "To love somebody is not just a strong feeling- it is a decision, it is a judgement, it is a promise. If love were only a feeling, there would be no basis for the promise to love each other forever. " :-)

A Special Tribute to TWO BEAUTIFUL WOMEN

May 9th, 2010

I Love You Mom! Your smiles can brighten any moment, your hugs put joy in all our days, your love will stay with me forever, and touch lives in precious ways...The values you've taught, the care you've given, and the wonderful love and support you've shown me thoughout my life, have enriched my life in more ways than I can count. I Love you Mom!

Exodus 20:12, we read "Honor your father and your mother so that you may have a long life in the land that the Lord your God is giving you. This is the 5th of God's commandments given to us in the bible.

Mothers Day! :-) It's fun to see all of the families this morning checking in their kids for sunday school and the dad's helping out. The mother's were glowing this morning all dressed up, or matching outfits with their daughters. Mom I remember when we had matching dresses that were black velvet with a white doily. MOM'S are role models for their sons and daughters to be the kind of loving supportive wife for your future husband, and to model for their sons the types of women to marry. (WE are VERY LUCKY TO HAVE A GREAT MOMs, and LOML would not be the man he is with out his wonderful guidance from his mom!) Mom I always saw your love for children and how to teach, and knew I wanted to be a teacher, I always wanted to be a good singer like you, and have cute purses and shoes:-) I remember the trips we would take together and everytime we stopped real fast in the car you put your arm out to save me, when you would help me learn my bible verses for AWANA by singing them because you knew that's how I learned, and encouraged me to be kind to everyone at school or when I got a good grade on my report card you were so proud of me!!! :-) Thanks for being my mom! :-)

When I asked LOML to give me one story that he always remembered that he loved about his mom he said, " I remember when I went to California just me and my mom and we flew out there and drove back. LOML wanted to see a giraffe on the side of the road and clearly no one thought they would see one, but sure enough there was a giraffe on the side of the road and my mom really got a kick out of that, or the way she showed me to draw in ways I never would of though of and encouraged my imagination.

Thanks for all you have done in our lives we love you!!! :-)
