A Special Tribute to TWO BEAUTIFUL WOMEN

May 9th, 2010

I Love You Mom! Your smiles can brighten any moment, your hugs put joy in all our days, your love will stay with me forever, and touch lives in precious ways...The values you've taught, the care you've given, and the wonderful love and support you've shown me thoughout my life, have enriched my life in more ways than I can count. I Love you Mom!

Exodus 20:12, we read "Honor your father and your mother so that you may have a long life in the land that the Lord your God is giving you. This is the 5th of God's commandments given to us in the bible.

Mothers Day! :-) It's fun to see all of the families this morning checking in their kids for sunday school and the dad's helping out. The mother's were glowing this morning all dressed up, or matching outfits with their daughters. Mom I remember when we had matching dresses that were black velvet with a white doily. MOM'S are role models for their sons and daughters to be the kind of loving supportive wife for your future husband, and to model for their sons the types of women to marry. (WE are VERY LUCKY TO HAVE A GREAT MOMs, and LOML would not be the man he is with out his wonderful guidance from his mom!) Mom I always saw your love for children and how to teach, and knew I wanted to be a teacher, I always wanted to be a good singer like you, and have cute purses and shoes:-) I remember the trips we would take together and everytime we stopped real fast in the car you put your arm out to save me, when you would help me learn my bible verses for AWANA by singing them because you knew that's how I learned, and encouraged me to be kind to everyone at school or when I got a good grade on my report card you were so proud of me!!! :-) Thanks for being my mom! :-)

When I asked LOML to give me one story that he always remembered that he loved about his mom he said, " I remember when I went to California just me and my mom and we flew out there and drove back. LOML wanted to see a giraffe on the side of the road and clearly no one thought they would see one, but sure enough there was a giraffe on the side of the road and my mom really got a kick out of that, or the way she showed me to draw in ways I never would of though of and encouraged my imagination.

Thanks for all you have done in our lives we love you!!! :-)

Matthew 6:24-34

"There are people who are always anticipating trouble, and in this way they manage to enjoy many sorrows that never really happen to them."~ Henry Wheeler Shaw

These verses in Matthew have been laid on my heart throughout this whole week. A week ago today, the LOML were praying before we headed to bed and I asked God to show me what I need to be doing to serve him. I had been moved to a position at work that I was praying about a lot!!! LOML is always so wonderful and reassuring that what I'm doing is good, but GOD really got MY attention this time. The following afternoon LOML went fishing......

:-) LOML is the best fisherman:-) He caught them both, but let me pretend for the picture.:-)

Back to my story, because God was looking out for me while we were fishing I received a phone call and interviewed for a position that I think God was calling me too. :-) Funny how that happened, I don't think I had ever noticed something that blatant in my face before. I'm so excited for school next year! :-) It has turned out really well.:-)

$20 bucks was how much I think I made at my garage sale this Saturday!!! :-( I was so excited to have it, and no one really came until 10AM. I did make a sign and blew up balloons though:-)

I started a new book:

Check it out!!! :-)

INSECURITIES :-(

Wow! What a loaded word, as well as one of my favorite authors new books, that no one really wants to talk about their own insecurities, and guess what neither will I be here blogging about my insecurities. However, I will tell one of the wonderful things about being married to the LOML while I worried about this particular insecurity today and going to the Dr. was that he was constantly there to remind me it was going to be ok and that it wasn't a big deal and guess what it was and LOML knows me SO well and that was EXACTLY the thing I needed to hear considering I worried about it all weekend.

This weekend was Wedding shower weekend!!!! :-) LOML has 3 cousins getting married this summer, as well as my cousin who is getting married at the end of the month. I had a great weekend and Corcoran and Linds I'm so sorry I missed your shower. :-(

I saw my best friend in the whole world for the first time this weekend since last September and seeing her absolutely perfect adorable baby was fabulous. We had a great time!! :-)

Currently, we are working on 3 projects in the yard and LOML is weed eating, while I'm following the Dr.s guidlines today for my little insecurity. :-( We are working on a little "Peanut Pond" is what they call it some landscaping in the front of the garage as well as spicing up the fire pit. OH how I LOVE summer fires:-) I will leave you with a picture of the beautiful tulips that are coming up around the house.

Thanks for reading our blog:-) I'm off to enjoy the beautiful weather:-)
