Sledding!

Daddy wanted to take his little girl sledding before all of the snow melted! 

 

Mission Accomplished! I think she enjoyed it too! She just didn't seem to know what to think of the snow!

Daddy's Girl!

This weekend Hadley and Daddy got good quality time together while mommy was gone all weekend in class!

It's really hard for me to be away from this sweet girl (who is wearing big girl jambes from Great Aunt Cindy! ) 

But when I see this my heart melts and I know she's with the best daddy who loves his little girl so much! 

Aren't they so cute!!

Hadley really loves Kirby too! 

My daddy put me in this comfy outfit today! 

Kirby is the Hadley's clean up crew.

They work together as a team.

Don't worry he's not bitting her! He's licking her hands because she wanted to put them in the bowl of cereal tonight!

And when you let Hadley put her hands in the bowl...

She will want to examine it....

and then....

bite it.....

then she will want to...

flip it over and hit it!

Snow Day! 1/30/13

Hadley is climbing and pulling herself up on anything that is around her so I thought it would be funny to put a little tut around her!! She didn't think it was so funny! :-)

Today was a perfect day to stay home make chocolate chip cookies, drink hot chocolate with marshmallows and play with my little blessing, because it hasn't stopped snowing all day!

We love our Keurig! 

Disclaimer: I made 20 chocolate chip cookies and now this is all that's left. :-) I guess santa got hungry! I love making chocolate chip cookies!!! 

Doesn't this make you want to go make some hot chocolate now? MMM....mmm.....

Proof on our deck!

My grizzly man shoveled this today and yesterday we had nothing! Incase your wondering about that nice little path just to the grill well let me tell you my husband loves to grill and snow doesn't stop him from grilling! He has to have a path so he can get to it! He loves this thing!

And our back yard tonight!

Yep! A nice little layer of snow! And notice that glow on the right side of the picture don't worry those are Christmas lights on a tree still up around the truck because my husband informed me that's what the rich people do in Florida, so he hasn't taken them down... haha.. I guess we only wish we lived in Florida!!

Here is Hadley today really exploring the whole house and she gets so focused when she just pops herself right up on whatever she can find, which sometimes results in a bonk on the head from a coffee table. You can see in this picture with her right hand, she has been banging on stuff which is her new thing!

She also had her bed lowered much closer to the ground today so there is no risk of her getting out! She is so strong and determined! She's on the move, with some wild hair today!

Perfection

Someone wise somewhere once said that, "The more time goes by in your life you realize that "perfect" isn't in your vocabulary."

 

 Perception and reality are two different things. 

Reality is raw and real and most often times reality is hard. 

Today I got a nice reality mommy lesson and I pray that I can face them a day at a time and trust that things happen for a reason. 

That when reality hits you... and trust me it will....

That you grab it by the hand and embrace it head on, whether you like it or not. 

Because perfection can look one way....

But your reality, may look another....

And if you confuse them you may want to wrap yourself with a nice warm blankie and a book and go night- night!

And at the end of a nice long Monday you may want people to perceive that you live a "perfect" life, but then reality hits and life is never totally "perfect"!
